New York Jets fans are losing their patience with general manager John Idzik. Recently a billboard was purchased to display a message encouraging team officials to fire Idzik. They’ve also launched a website for the same message and they hired a plane to fly over team facilities with the message during this week’s practices.
Idzik and head coach Rex Ryan couldn’t help but notice the message trailing the plane circling over head. Of course, how could anyone ignore a plane circling over head.
The New York Post caught Idzik and Ryan on camera glancing up at the message and put it on the cover of today’s paper. They also used a cheap pun reminiscent of something you’d see from Metro News 1 anchor Robin Scherbatsky on How I Met Your Mother in the subheadline that reads “fans deliver the plane truth to Jets GM.”
Get it…. plane truth?
