PGA Tour player Patrick Reed was caught using a gay slur during a live broadcast of the WGC-HSBC Champions as he cursed himself out.

In today’s day and age, there are cameras and microphones everywhere as fans hope to get unlimited access to the playing field. That is even the case in golf, where we can here some of the conversations golfers have with themselves out on the PGA Tour.

Unfortunately for Patrick Reed, that means his little tirade which included a gay slur was heard during a live broadcast of the WGC-HSBC Champions in China.

When Reed missed a short put, he began cursing himself out.

That is when the mics picked up Patrick Reed saying, “Don’t f***ing three-putt you f***ing f*ggot.”

And of course, the moment was captured on video and now we can hear it over and over again.

That likely will not go over well with PGA Tour officials, who will not be able to ignore the words Patrick Reed muttered. In fact, the PGA Tour has already released a brief statement on the situation.

“The PGA Tour Conduct Unbecoming regulations prohibit the use of obscene language on the golf course,” the statement said, via Golf.com. “The PGA Tour will deal with this matter internally in accordance with its regulations.”

If Reed is fined or suspended, the PGA Tour will not disclose that information, but we do know that Patrick Reed is already apologizing for his off-color comments.
