AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd will be appear in court in Australia for allegedly plotting a murder among other charges.
AC/DC had been preparing to release an album later this year, but at least for some intermittent breaks they can look in on the train wreck that appears to be former drummer Phil Rudd, who will appear in Australian court to face charges for drug possession and plotting to murder two unnamed individuals. While Rudd had re-joined the band in 1994, there was little evidence that he had much of a role in the band’s latest recording.

BBC reports that, “the musician’s waterfront house in Tauranga, on New Zealand’s North Island, was raided on Thursday morning.” Rudd has posted bail on the condition that he can’t have any contact with anyone else charged with murder conspiracy. It’s reported that a member of the public turned in Rudd for the murder plot.
Rudd, who has yet to enter a plea, will next appear in court on November 27 to answer these charges. In the meantime, his old band will just be jamming without him it seems. Rudd did not appear on any leaked album artwork and he has not been sighted or reported to be with the band. They reportedly turned to ’emergency drummer’ Bob Richards in the meantime.
AC/DC is planning to release a new album on December 2nd, titled ‘Rock or Bust’. It will be their 17th album and their first since 2008’s ‘Black Ice’, which sold over one million copies..
