Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that the NFL is reviewing Peterson’s case under the personal conduct policy and that the star running back could face a suspension.

Even if Peterson is somehow able to avoid suspension, he’s still unlikely to return to the Vikings soon, according to Rapoport.
When will the Peterson situation be resolved? Could be weeks. Means playing next week unlikely. As for hearing, unclear if Goodell presides

All of this was to be expected. Peterson seeing the field again this season would be a public relations nightmare for the NFL, so no one should be surprised that the league wants to both suspend Peterson and drag his situation out.
Peterson appeared in one game for the Vikings this season.
