TNT basketball analyst Charles Barkley joking said on Thursday’s edition of “Inside The NBA” that he wouldn’t “eat another meal until the Lakers win a game.”
Lakers coach Byron Scott made clear on Friday that he doesn’t believe Barkley will have to wait too long in between meals.
I asked Byron Scott about Charles Barkley's hunger strike until the Lakers win. "Charles is praying that we win Sunday."

Scott on Barkley: "I think Charles is eating tomorrow to be honest with you. I don't think he's going on a hunger strike."

The Lakers have been perhaps the worst team in the NBA this season. Los Angeles has lost each of its first five games and has a point-differential of -14.8, the worst mark in the league.
But Scott is clearly banking on his team turning things around shortly, something Barkley surely would appreciate.
The Lakers next game comes Sunday against the 2-3 Charlotte Hornets. Despite their record, Charlotte’s a strong team and it won’t be easy for Los Angeles to get their first win.
In fact, it will be tough for the Lakers to get a win in any of their upcoming games.
Last night on @NBAonTNT, Barkley said he's going on the "Lakers diet" - he's not going to eat until they win. Hmmm... pic.twitter.com/CHPP3dxwIN

Pray for Barkley.
