The Sacramento Kings beat the
Thursday night, but the Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins almost needed a reminder of who his enemy was. Cousins nearly hit his teammate, Rudy Gay, after Gay tried to give Cousins a pat on the back, before he realized Gay played for the same team as him.
It’s a pretty funny video, and pretty understandable for an intense guy like Cousins, who picks himself up off the floor and then nearly elbows Gay, who was trying to give him a pat for the good play. Cousins used his left elbow to come around on Gay, but realized it was his teammate before he got too close to hitting him.
Someone’s gotta tell DeMarcus to chill out, man, cause playing that intense all the time will simply leave you burned out and someone else injured.
The Kings are a surprising 4-1 on the year after blowing out the Nuggets, 131-109, late Wednesday night. Cousins lead the Kings with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Gay scored 29 points. It’s the best start for the season for the Kings since the 2001-2002 season.
