Here is the latest on all the fantasy relevant injuries sorted by position with the news coming out of Thursday’s practices:

Running Backs

Mark Ingram-New Orleans Saints: Ingram has been limited in practice this week with a shoulder injury but he is expected to play this week against the 49ers and is on the fringes of a top ten option despite a tough matchup.

Lamar Miller-Miami Dolphins: Miller has taken over as the team’s featured back with Knowshon Moreno’s injury keeping him sidelined for the season.  Last week, Miller sprained his AC joint (shoulder) which has limited him in practice this week.  It does look like he’ll suit up for week 10, though, so check back on his status later today and tomorrow, but you can tentatively plan on him playing this week.

Reggie Bush-Detriot Lions: Bush is practicing in full this week in advance of the team’s matchup with the Dolphins.  Miami’s run defense is a good one, but Bush should be in the lineup on Sunday making him a low-end RB2 in PPR leagues and a flex consideration in standard scoring.

Fred Jackson-Buffalo Bills: Jackson has taken the first team reps the last couple of days, but Coach Doug Marrone says he’s still not sure if F-Jax will return this week.  Anthony Dixon will most likely get the majority of the carries this week, but I’d avoid this backfield situation if possible until Jackson returns fully healthy as the feature back.

Rashad Jennings-New York Giants: Jennings has been taking some reps in practice but still looks like a longshot for this week’s game against the Seahawks.  If someone in your league dropped the Giants top back, he’s a great pickup as he looks to return in the near future and should have a heavy workload when he does get back on the field.  He won’t help you this week, but his situation is one to be aware of going forward.

Montee Ball-Denver Broncos: Ball has been back in practice this week as he tries to return from his groin issue.  His role with the team is unclear with the emergence of Ronnie Hillman as the team’s go-to back, so leave him on your bench this week although he is on track to return to the field.

Doug Martin-Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Martin is still out of practice and doesn’t look like he’ll play this weekend against Atlanta.

Pierre Thomas-New Orleans Saints: Thomas is still out of Saints practice and looks like he’ll miss another game this week.

Khiry Robinson-New Orleans Saints: The Saints backfield depth has been eroded due to injury leaving Mark Ingram the full-time back and a nice fantasy play.  Like Thomas, Robinson hasn’t returned to practice yet and continues to struggle with a forearm issue.

Quarterbacks

Tony Romo-Dallas Cowboys: Romo practiced Thursday and will most likely play against Jacksonville on Sunday.  His effectiveness may be limited and his long-term health is a bit concerning, but Dallas badly needs a win and considers him to be irreplaceable as last week’s Bradon Weeden performance demonstrated.  Stay tuned leading up to kickoff, but expect Romo to give it a go.

Blake Bortles-Jacksonville Jaguars: Bortles injured his non-throwing wrist last week but is practicing in full leading up the Jacksonville’s matchup with the Cowboys on Sunday.  He’s struggled in his rookie season in the NFL, but his injury doesn’t look like it will hold him back on Sunday.

Wide Receivers

Calvin Johnson-Detroit Lions: Megatron returns this week after totaling just three catches since week three as he battled injuries and missed multiple games.  The Lions will welcome him back as they take on the Dolphins and expect him to return to dominant form now that he’s completely healthy after the team’s bye last week.

Doug Baldwin-Seattle Seahawks: Baldwin missed practice earlier this week with a groin injury, but he was back in action Thursday and should remain the team’s top receiving threat this week ass they take on the Giants.

Vincent Jackson-Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jackson has been limited with a rib injury this week, but he makes a decent gamble against the Falcons struggling secondary on Sunday.  He’ll have a new QB as Josh McCown returns to the starting role which brings more uncertainty to his value, but there is definite upside as long as he turns in a limited practice today.

Sammy Watkins-Buffalo Bills: Watkins is day-to-day with a groin issue but his absence from Bills practice is ominous for this week’s game against the Chiefs.  Expect him to be a gametime decision, although if he does play at full speed he makes a nice WR2 option.

Wes Welker-Denver Broncos: Welker is back to full practices and in line to play Sunday although the injury concerns continue to pile up for the veteran slot machine.

Cecil Shorts-Jacksonville Jaguars: Shorts missed practice with his nagging groin issue and is a stay-away for this week against Dallas in London.  Shorts has struggled to stay on the field all season and has been incredibly unpredictable when he does suit up.

Donnie Avery-Kansas City Chiefs: Avery is back in practice and should return to the field this week against the Bills.  He’ll step right back into the starting lineup but isn’t much of a fantasy option with the Chiefs receivers so uninvolved in the passing game.

Tight Ends

Owen Daniels-Baltimore Ravens: Daniels is back after a knee scope and remains very involved in the Ravens passing attack.  He’s a low-risk, low-end TE1 this week as the Ravens host the Titans.

Charles Clay-Miami Dolphins: Although he’s in a brutal matchup against the Lions, Clay looks to be a low TE1 this week despite being limited in practice this week.

Eric Ebron-Detroit Lions: Ebron is back in Lions practice along with fellow tight ends Brandon Pettigrew and Joseph Fauria. All were limited but appear ready to return from their injuries and resume their timeshare at the position.  Due to the scarcity of use, none of the Lions TE make great plays this week, but it will definitely help the Lions passing attack to get their full arsenal back.
