The person operating the official Twitter account of the Florida Gators had a bit of a geographical error and thought Vanderbilt was located in Memphis, TN and not Nashville where the school has resided since 1873.
Hey, we’ve all tweeted something we immediately deleted after we made an error in regard to a stat being incorrect or due to a spelling or grammar error, so we understand how red the face must have been from the tweeter after they posted this. Accident’s happen and they owned up to the mistake, which happens to all of us from time to time.

Boy, talk about an unintentional shot about the state of Vandy football. Teams in their own division can’t even find them on a map. Is that how far this program has fallen since James Franklin left to take the job at Penn State?
Mistakes happen all the time and the person behind the acount had to send off a stream of apologies to people following the account who were quick to point out the geographical mishap. At least Vandy knows where the Gators play after they defeated them in The Swamp last year.
Thankfully, the pilots for the team charter are aware that Vanderbilt is located in Nashville where the Gators will be tonight as they prepare to take on a Vanderbilt team in search of their first win in SEC play this year and for a second straight win against Florida.
