Greg Hardy Can’t Wait To Play Football Again
By Josh Hill
Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy was arrested and charged with domestic abuse this offseason, but all the man wants to do is play football.
The recent rash of domestic violence cases that the NFL has been dealing with has brought out a lot of stupidity in people and crossed the wires of basic human logic for a lot of people. It’s turned people we thought we respected into paste eating mouth breathers, while others we may have not been able to stand — like Adam Schefter, sometimes — earned a lot of respect for his passionate stance against abuse.

But lost among all the chest beating from talking heads is the bottom line that something needs to happen to these players and the end result is them returning to the football field.
According to James Walker of ESPN.com, All Greg Hardy wants to do is play some football again.
"“I want to play, man. My team, you know, is losing right now. So I can’t wait.”"
Here’s the thing with that though — there are consequences to actions taken both on and off the field and hitting women has always been a no-no. That’s something everyone learns basically straight from the womb, yet so many men violate the cardinal rule of being a decent human being.
Hardy may want to play football again, but his girlfriend also didn’t want to be abused like she was. That’s the bottom line here, as football is just a game in situations like this. Knuckle draggers will try to convince the world that actions taken off the field don’t effect the game on it, but that’s a crock and everyone knows it.
If that were the case, the NFL would look a lot different than it does now, and the fact that the foot hadn’t been put down in the past isn’t an excuse for it not to be now. Hardy will play again and will resume violently hitting people on the field while getting paid millions of dollars to do so.
But here’s to hoping he learned his lesson that hits off the field aren’t paid and they aren’t something normal human beings to do one another.
