The Cleveland Browns absolutely dominated the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night, holding them to 165 total yards and 2.6 yards per play in their
. It was fantastic showing by the Browns, who completely shut down the Bengals’ offense and took a share of the lead in the NFC North, passing the Bengals in the process.
Usually, players are humbled when they are on the wrong end of a game like that.
However, when Bengals running back Jeremy Hill was asked about the Browns, told reporters he wasn’t impressed: “Oh no, not at all. They’re probably worse than I thought, to be honest with you.”
“They didn’t do anything special to me,” Hill continued. “I mean, respect to them, they won the game. But that’s all I’ll give them.”
Hill didn’t stop there. He went on to say the Browns’ aren’t that good and that the Bengals simply gave them the game.
“Those guys, they’re not that good,” he said. “It was on us [Thursday]. We gave them the game, in my opinion. They didn’t do anything special. We just gave them the game. They just sat back with coverage the whole day.”
Hill had 12 carries for 55 yards in the game. He believes things will be different when they meet again on
“We’ll play them again, and we’ll see what happens,” Hill said.
The two teams will meet again Sunday, December 14 in Cleveland.
