According to Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen, the Vikings players want Adrian Peterson back on the team.
NBC’s Pro Football Talk had a phone interview with Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen where they talk about the Vikings, Anthony Barr and Griffen’s play as well as Vikings running back Adrian Peterson who current sits on the NFL’s commissioners exemption list after he was indicted on child abuse charged for beating his son with a switch. Peterson made it through the trial with no jail time and hopes to return soon, and his teammates would love to have him back.

The Minnesota Vikings have struggled this season without Adrian Peterson who hasn’t played since week one. The Vikings are 4-5 after getting two straight wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins thanks to some solid defense in the past four weeks where they’ve only allowed over 20 points once.
This comes in big thanks to the play by Everson Griffen who has nine sacks in nine games this season and has led the Vikings defense.
About Adrian Peterson, Griffen said he would love to have him back, but they can’t focus on it right now.
“We want the guy back, we can’t really focus on Adrian because if we focus on Adrian, we’re going to lose sight on ourselves,” Griffen said. “I want the guy back 100 percent we want the guy back 100 percent, but us as individuals and us as a team need to focus on Chicago.”
