Ray Rice is looking like he may get reinstated into the NFL, but the process of finding someone to sign him is the real battle he’ll have to wage.
When Ray Rice struck his wife in an Atlantic City elevator, he knocked out not only the woman he is supposed to love and protect but also any hopes of an immediate NFL career.

But it’s starting to look more and more like Rice is going to be reinstated into the NFL in the near future, which raises the question of who would pick him up of given the chance. Not everyone is sold that he’s going to get another shot in the NFL, but on general manager isn’t ready to throw the towel in on Rice’s career just yet.
Tom Pelissero talked to various front office executives, with one cautioning against writing off Rice signing with someone in the next year.
"“I learned a long time ago to never say never in personnel,” one GM said. “So who knows?”"
Then again, there are those out there in the NFL — this in positions of power — who believe Rice has played his last down of professional football.
"“I don’t think anybody’s going to worry about that now,” one NFL personnel director told USA TODAY Sports. “I think he’s played his last game.”"
It’s truly up in the air as to whether or not Rice will play in the NFL again, but it’d be a safe bet to assume he does. After all, there have been plenty of guys to have been given a second chance and Rice will likely find himself among those names.
