AFC 5th Seed: Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6)

The Steelers have been a surprise this season. Not many expected much from them this season, citing their old defense.

Yes, their defense is old, but Ben Roethlisberger and his receivers have kept this team in contention. Antonio Borwn has emerged as a dependable number one receiver.

The Pittsburgh ground game has done its part to open things up for Roethlisberger. Nothing has been done in the drug cases of Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount, and until something is, they are playing and getting the yards that keep defenses honest, thus allowing the passing game to flourish.

If something is done in those cases, though, and suspensions are handed out, it could mean the end of the playoff watch. The defense is old, and it will give up key, late touchdowns.

There are too many questions for the Steelers to win the division, but I do expect them to win a Wild Card berth.
