Derrick Rose will miss his second straight game as the Chicago Bulls will be without their point guard against the Boston Celtics with two sprained ankles and a damaged psyche

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before but the Chicago Bulls will be without Derrick Rose again for tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics from the United Center.

More from Chicago Bulls

Rose has sat out two games in a row after missing Friday’s three-point win against the Philadelphia 76ers and has now missed four of the last five games since injuring his ankles in the overtime loss last Friday night to LeBron James and the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Bulls have been patient with the former MVP and No. 1 overall pick as he has battled his way back from a torn ACL, then a torn meniscus and let him play for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup to only see him play a total of 78 minutes in three games this year for the 5-1 Bulls.

Sure, the Bulls need Rose to be healthy for the second half and most importantly the playoffs if they are to get out of the Eastern Conference, even if the conference is the inferior league compared to the Western Conference, but the patience is wearing thin for Bulls fans who want to see him back on the court and you have to think head coach Tom Thibodeau is growing impatient with his point guard unavailable yet again.

The Bulls host the Detroit Pistons on Monday. I wonder if Rose will be up for joining his teammates for this one.
