Arizona State is putting it on Notre Dame in the first half as the Sun Devils defense is forcing Everett Golson into too many mistakes, including this interception returned for a touchdown

Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson has a problem with ball security and already has three turnovers in the first half to give him 15 turnovers in his last six games, including one fumble and two interceptions, the last one was returned for a touchdown to give Arizona State a commanding lead over the Fighting Irish.

The Sun Devil defense is starting to come into their own with a number of freshmen playing key roles on the unit that lost nine starters from a year ago.

But it was senior Damarious Randall coming up with the huge interception at the beginning of the second quarter and took the pick to the house for the pick-six to give Arizona State a 24-3 lead in the opening minute of the second quarter from Sun Devil Stadium.

Marcus Hardison had the first interception from Golson in the first quarter as Arizona State has 21 points off three turnovers from the Notre Dame quarterback who has played himself out of the Heisman conversation with his sloppy play in the first half against Arizona State.

Arizona State leads 31-3 with 11:12 remaining in the second quarter as the Sun Devils are pouring it on the Fighting Irish who are seeing their slim hopes at the College Football Playoff fall by the wayside.
