Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan is watching his four-year agreement to play one game a year in London reach the halfway point on Sunday, when his team takes on the Dallas Cowboys at the iconic Wembley Stadium.

While the Jaguars’ curent deal to play in London lasts through 2017, Khan is hoping that the team can extend their commitment.
“Obviously, it depends on the league, but if you were asking me today, I would say, ‘Yes,’” Khan said, via Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union. “That decision is at least a year away or more.”
But what people are really interested in knowing is: Will the Jaguars begin playing more than one game per year in London and are they a candidate to potentially relocate overseas?
Don’t count on it.
The Jaguars are building something good in Jacksonville and their stadium upgrades have been well-received by the fans.
“We have to look at where we are as a franchise in Jacksonville, how many tickets we’re selling and what are the [fan and business] engagements,” Khan said. “Everything is geared toward stabilizing the franchise in Jacksonville.”
Once the butt of many jokes, the Jacksonville Jaguars fan base has been rallying behind the team more than ever and the tarps used to cover the stands are a thing long in the past.
