College basketball season is just about set to begin and the Duke Blue Devils are owners of two of the top freshman in the country in Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones. In the team’s last exhibition game on Saturday, both showed just how valuable they will be to this program this season.
Saturday the Blue Devils welcomed in Central Missouri for this final exhibition contest, who saw first hand what teams in the ACC are going to have to deal with.
Watch in the video below as, off the transition, Jones hits Okafor with the pass and the big man takes it right to the rim from there for the two points.
Now will these two play better competition once the regular season starts? Of course they will. But you also have to take into account that these two will only get better playing together as time goes on as well.
What might be even more amazing about this video is the athleticism shown by Okafor. Most believe the 6-11 freshman to just be able to do his work underneath the basket, and well, that doesn’t seem to be the case at all.
Good luck, ACC.
