The Texas A&M Aggies have been the laughing stock of the SEC the past few weeks, but on Saturday, they’re out there trying to make a clear statement against one of the top teams in the country in Auburn. So far, they’re making that statement, and Kyle Allen is doing most of the talking.
Allen came out early in this one and showed that he won’t be intimidated, tossing a touchdown pass to Malcolme Kennedy to get the Aggies a 7-0 lead. After a turnover, the true freshman was at it again.
Following a Cameron Artis-Payne fumble for Auburn, the Aggies got the ball back and Allen went right back to work.
Watch in the video below as Allen throws his second score of the early first quarter, this one a 36-yard strike to Josh Reynolds.
There were some that thought maybe this stage would be too big for the true freshman, but so far, that doesn’t seem to be the case. if anything, he and the offense have come out and taken control early.
