The Louisville Cardinals announced on Saturday that leading wide receiver James Quick has been suspended for a violation of team rules.
This announcement comes just a few hours before the team is set to take on Boston College in an ACC contest in Chestnut Hill.

While the leading receiver on the team, Quick has been somewhat disappointing this season. Tasked with being the top target while DeVante Parker rehabbed from injury to begin the season, Quick amassed just 459 yards on 31 catches with three touchdowns in the high-powered Louisville offense led by the returning Bobby Petrino.
Quick’s best outing came back on September 20 in the win over Florida International, where he caught seven balls for 174 yards and two scores. Aside from that, Quick only had one more 100-yard game on the season, that being against Clemson when he finished with 101 yards on six catches with no scores.
While not playing at his best, this leaves a huge void in the Louisville passing game for the rest of the season. Louisville is bowl eligible at 6-3 on the season, but a few more wins will look mighty good on the resume.
