Aside from one head-scratching outing this season, Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon has gone out basically every week this season and showed why he should be considered not only the best running back in the country, but a serious contender for the Heisman Trophy when all is said and done.
On Saturday against Purdue, well, he proved his point once again.
Watch in the video below as Gordon makes his way to the end zone for the score, and in the process, just straight hurdles a defender for the six points.

Putting aside the hurdle for a second, a bit more of the versatility was on display here from Gordon as this was a catch out of the backfield and not a typical rush.
Seriously, though, this has become a weekly thing from this young man and it’s frankly fun as hell to watch. No matter how a team game plans all week, they never have an answer for Gordon and what he can do out of the backfield.
One day soon, it might be NFL teams that don’t have an answer for him either.
