Myles Garrett is the best freshman in college football and helped Texas A&M close the first half against the Auburn Tigers in grand fashion as the Aggies are sniffing upset

Texas A&M is leading Auburn 35-17 at halftime with a pair of freshmen doing the heavy lifting against the reigning SEC champions and national runners-up who ended the first half with a play that could haunt them for the rest of the year.

Aggies quarterback Kyle Allen has four touchdown passes in the first half in his second career start as the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the nation is looking awfully comfortable against the Auburn defense in Jordan-Hare.

But it is another true freshman who made the biggest play of the game so far as Myles Garrett, the nation’s No. 2 recruit last year, blocked a field goal attempt at the end of the first half with Auburn attempting to make it a 28-20 ball game.

However, Garrett had other thoughts in mind as he soared to block the kick that was recovered by Deshazor Everett and returned 65 yards for the huge touchdown to close the half as time expired.

That’s not the kind of kick-six that Auburn fans are used to seeing.

Could Auburn be upset in front of the home crowd today with a pair of freshmen from Texas A&M responsible for possibly ending the Tigers hopes at back-to-back SEC titles? Let us know in the comments section below.
