2. Golden State Warriors

Some may not view the Golden State Warriors as “darkhorse” contenders, but there aren’t too many high profile “experts” that gave them much of a chance. They have been playing excellent basketball all season long so far, and are being led by two of the most lethal scorers and shooters in the game. Both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have taken their game to a new level this season, and it will be tough for anyone to knock them off in seven games.

Golden State has a ton of depth on its roster as well, and that is going to be difficult for opposing teams. Not many NBA teams are able to bring a player like Andre Iguodala off of the bench, and the Warriors have a bench that knows how to play with each other and fit well together.

There will be some difficulties for the Warriors due to playing in a very tough Western Conference, but they are definitely a team to watch out for this year. If Curry and Thompson can keep playing at the level that they have been, they aren’t going to lose all that many games this season. Golden State firmly believes that they can compete for a title, and they are proving that they shouldn’t be overlooked so far this year.
