Former wide receiver and current NFL analyst Randy Moss questions the Seattle Seahawks leadership after turning down their offer.

Retired wide receiver Randy Moss has recently come out to say that he would only come out of retirement to play for one quarterback, that being Peyton Manning. However, he was apparently contacted by the Seattle Seahawks after the team traded wide receiver Percy Harvin to the New York Jets. Moss rejected the offer at the time, before later coming out to say he would only unretire for Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

That wasn’t all Moss had to say, however. In a story by CSN Bay Area, it was revealed that Moss had some negative things to say about the Super Bowl champion Seahawks via a Fox Sports podcast.

"“All I’m just saying was it could’ve been handled in a different way. Don’t wait till a guy is gone to air out the dirty laundry, is all I’m saying.”"

Moss was a former teammate of Harvin with the Minnesota Vikings and he wasn’t pleased with how the Seahawks treated Harvin on his way out.

"“You don’t air out your dirty laundry when a person is gone,” Moss said vehemently. “That’s something that affects us as people and players. We are people, we do have emotions.”"

Moss went on to say that he thought the Harvin situation was bad all around. He declined to say whether the reports coming out about the Seahawks locker room were true or false, and in fact, there have been conflicting reports from the players themselves to this point. However, Moss did say he wonders where the veteran leadership was, with regards to Harvin.

An interesting criticism considering that former Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson also went on record to say that veteran leadership could be something missing from the Seahawks locker room this season.

The Seahawks have gone 2-1 since jettisoning Harvin, though admittedly against sub .500 teams. The remaining part of their schedule gets tougher beginning next weekend with a visit to the Kansas City Chiefs.
