The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the rise in the NFL, and owner Shad Khan is ready to spend big in free agency to help get his team to the next level.
When the Jacksonville Jaguars were talking about relocating — or at least rumored to be doing so — fans in the area panicked as they were about to lose their beloved team. The only problem was the team was and is no good and won’t be competing for a Super Bowl this year, much like they haven’t for years.

But this past offseason brought some new faces to Jacksonville which has owner Shad Khan excited about the future. From the free agency signings the team snagged to the drafting of Blake Bortles and other top rookies, the Jaguars have a bright future that their owner isn’t afraid to spend some cash on.
Khan told Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union that he’s confident in the guys he has running the franchise and will let Gus Bradley and Dave Caldwell spend again in free agency this offseason.
"“We were active this year – look at our defensive line, which is pretty good, and they’re mostly free agents,” Khan said. “We’re going to be very active for a number of reasons. Other teams don’t have the luxury we have – they have constraints and can’t sign everyone. We’ll be on the flip side.”"
Jacksonville is just 1-8 this year and are in the running for — of nothing else — the same No. 3 pick they owned last year. But the team is confident for the first time in years, which may end up being more valuable than a winning season this year ever could have been.
