Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis had a meeting in San Antonio about moving the Raiders there and it went great.
It’s no secret that the Oakland Raiders could be no more, as the team could be moved to another location very soon. Along with Los Angeles, San Antonio is a prime possibility for the Raiders in the future. Davis has expressed interested in taking the team to a new city or getting a new venue in Oakland.

Via Scott Blair of CSNBayArea.com, Mark Davis said, “The meeting went great. They let us know what assets San Antonio has to offer.”
Mark Davis has expressed his frustration with the venue that the Oakland Raiders currently play in, the O.co Coliseum that they share with the Oakland’s MLB team, the Oakland Athletics. Davis could be using the meeting with San Antonio as leverage, but regardless it shows that the Raiders are not afraid to leave the city they’ve called home for 54 years.
San Antonio is home to the San Antonio Spurs NBA team and could certainly benefit from another large market sports franchise, especially an NFL team that shares the same team colors the Spurs have.
The Oakland Raiders have been very unsuccessful in recent years leading to decreased attendance as they are currently 30th in the NFL in attendance rankings at 53,164 fans per game. The Raiders haven’t had a winning season since 2002 when they lost in the Super Bowl to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
