New York Giants running back Peyton Hillis left the game against the Seattle Seahawks with a concussion and will not return, the team announced.
After carrying the ball once for four yards and having one catch for five yards, backup New York Giants running back Peyton Hillis left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks after suffering a concussion in the first quarter. The team announced he will not be returning to the game.

The Giants were already thin at running back after starter Rashad Jennings didn’t travel to Seattle with a knew injury. Hillis was the backup and pass-catching back behind Andre Williams. Without Hillis, the Giants will be playing with Williams and Michael Cox as their only active rushers.

So far, Williams has 13 carries for 33 yards and a touchdown while Cox has ran twice for six yards. The team will be relying on Eli Manning, who has already thrown 35 passes for the Giants with about seven minutes left in the game.
On the season, Hillis has 25 carries for 111 yards. It’s unclear at this time if he will miss more time due to the concussion. The Giants (3-5) are losing 31-17 to the Seahawks. This looks like another lost season for New York, who can’t seem to keep a healthy backfield for a majority of the season. However, Jennings could be ready to go by next week. Fortunately for the Giants.
