Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson settled his legal issues earlier this month, and the NFLPA wants to see him reinstated immediately.
Earlier this month, Adrian Peterson plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge in order to avoid jail time and another trial in December.

Now that the Minnesota Vikings running back has his legal issues resolved, it is time to start wondering when he will be able to return to the field. If the NFLPA gets their way, Adrian Peterson will be reinstated immediately.
Peterson agreed to go on the commissioner’s exempt list back in September, but he had conditions with the team.
Once he had his legal issues resolved, it was believed that he would be removed from the exempt list and be welcomed back to the Vikings. The NFLPA wants the Vikings and NFL to hold up their end of the bargain.
According to a report from ESPN.com, “if the NFL declines to comply with the agreement, the NFLPA can then file an expedited non-injury grievance to have Peterson reinstated immediately.”
Peterson is facing an additional six-game ban under the NFL’s personal conduct policy, but the NFLPA and those around Peterson will likely argue that he has already served time. If a deal can be reached, Peterson could return game checks to have his suspension reduced.
We will have to see what happens next with Peterson and whether he will return to the field this season, but he will have a strong case to return as soon as possible and he will benefit from the NFLPA being in his corner.
