With Hakeem Nicks moving on to the Indianapolis Colts in the offseason, the New York Giants entered the 2014 NFL Draft looking for a compliment to wide receiver Victor Cruz. That’s why they selected former
‘ receiver Odell Beckham Jr. the 12th-overall pick in the first round of the draft.
Beckham wasn’t ready to start the season and the Giants’ match up with the Seattle Sehawks was just his fifth game. With Cruz out for the season with a knee injury, Beckham has a chance to be the man in New York.
So far, he’s taking advantage. He entered Sunday’s game with 18 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown and is having an excellent day against the vaunted Seahawks’ secondary, catching four passes for 84 yards in the first half. That included an incredible catch on the sideline just short of the end zone.
