Stars’ Antoine Roussel To Have Hearing Monday
Dallas Stars‘ Antoine Roussel has hearing on Monday for his ‘classless’ hit on San Jose Sharks skater Justin Braun
Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel is not exactly known for his clean, contact-free play, but he took it to a new level on Saturday night.

Towards the end of the team’s matchup against the San Jose Sharks, Roussel made a monster of a hit on Sharks netminder Alex Stalock, knocking him flat on his back.
Stalock, who had come out of his crease to play the puck, seemed to be all right and finished off the game.
The hit did not amuse Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic, though, who immediately went after Roussel following the hit. Surprisingly, the ensuing scrum was where Roussel got himself in the most trouble- as he sucker-punched a defenseless Justin Braun of the San Jose squad.
It was clearly an inappropriate and classless attack by Roussel on the skater- and as a consequence, he will face a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Monday. Braun was unable to defend himself as Roussel took a swing, as shown in the video below:
The Stars ultimately fell 5-3 to the Sharks, bringing their losing streak seven. The team is almost tied in consecutive losses with the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Carolina Hurricanes, who have each fallen in eight consecutive games this season.
When the Stars play the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night, it looks like they might be down their scrappiest enforcer.
