Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant admitted he was among the group of players to stay out past curfew on the Friday night in London before the team’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

No amount of Jerry Jones denials could sway the media from their story that multiple players from the Dallas Cowboys were late for Friday night curfew. Now that the team has crushed the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars, they can be a little more free with the news. There were players partying late and one of them was star receiver Dez Bryant, per Clarence Hill at the Star-Telegram.

One wonders how this story might have gone had the Cowboys lost, but that’s all water under London Bridge after the team dismantled the Jags 31-17 at Wembley Stadium. Bryant had two touchdowns in the second quarter and ran like a man possessed all afternoon.

This will naturally bring some bad press on Bryant, who is seeking a long term deal as his current contract expires after this season, but all one needs to see are the results on the field to know that Bryant is worth more than the sum of his extra-curricular activities. He has grown into a stud and a leader on the team and to seriously call him a distraction or someone not worth premium dollar is laughable.

The Cowboys head to their bye week with a 7-3 record in preparation of the home stretch in which they’ll play division-leading Philadelphia Eagles twice in their final six games.
