The Philadelphia Eagles completed a 45-21 beat down of the Carolina Panthers on Monday night.
The win improved the Eagles to 7-2, tied for the second-best mark in the league, while the Panthers fell to 3-6-1, just a year after having the NFC’s second best record at 12-4. It is hard to find bright spots in a season like this but the Panthers do have one – rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin.
The former Florida State Seminole, who was the hero of the Seminoles’ victory over the Auburn Tigers in the BCS Championship Game, caught two more touchdowns on Monday.
The first was a 21-yard pass form Cam Newton in which Benjamin ran through several defenders to score. The second was from 40 yards out and came in the end zone on an underthrown pass.
