The Chicago Bears fell to the Green Bay Packers 55-14 in the NFL’s Sunday Night Football and head coach Marc Trestman talked about the embarrassment.
The Chicago Bears were victims of a huge blowout on Sunday Night Football last night against the Green Bay Packers by a final score of 55-14, and they are stunned and searching for answers today. Head coach Marc Trestman spoke to the media about the disappointment of the Packers’ loss and the direction of the team as they look ahead at the rest of the season with a very disappointing 3-6 record.

"“It’s like I told our football team at halftime and after the game: ‘We’re not a very good football team right now. We’ve descended over the last three weeks and didn’t make any changes or any positive movement after the bye, and that starts with me.”"
There have been quite a few fans calling for Trestman’s job with the way that the team has played this year. Chicago was expected to have one of the best offenses in the NFL with the talent that they have compiled, but it has been an absolute nightmare throughout the first nine games of the season.
Jay Cutler spoke about the game as well and how the Bears are going to move forward.
"“I think we’re all searching for answers right now. For sure, I thought we had a great bye week. We had a heck of a three practices, and I told Marc that on Saturday. And I thought we’d bring that into this (game), and to play like that is pretty much embarrassing.”"
Needless to say, the Bears have no clue what to do to turn things back around this season. It might be too late in the year for them to figure out who they are and turn things around, but that is all up to the Bears and when they choose to begin playing with more effort and become closer as a team.
Everything has to start with the quarterback playing better football, and Cutler has been making big mistakes in key situations throughout the course of the season. If he begins playing up to his full potential, the offense might have a chance of turning things around and getting back on the right track. On the other hand if he doesn’t, the Bears aren’t going to be winning many more football games this season.
