Winners: New York Jets

Speaking of the Jets, where did that come from? The Jets looked competent on both sides of the ball – check that, they looked more than competent.

They looked good.

It’s not just that Michael Vick played mistake free football, or that the secondary looked good.

The entire team played like they cared for what seems like the first time since week 3 or Week 4.

That’s not to imply they don’t care – most players do, even during horrible seasons. But that doesn’t always show up on the field.

It did on Sunday, when the Jets harassed Ben Roethlisberger all day and blanketed Antonio Brown, keeping him out of the end zone.

Prior to Sunday’s game, the Jets had allowed a league-leading 24 passing touchdowns and were facing a guy who had thrown for six touchdowns two games in a row.

They gave up just one touchdown to him.

That’s impressive.
