After Elle magazine completed an interview with Dalbesio and framed Calvin Klein’s usage of her as a breakthrough for plus-size models, social media erupted in anger about what a plus-size model really is.

It must be noted that Calvin Klein never referred to Dalbesio as a plus-size model. However, outlets such as Elle, have referred to Dalbesio as plus-size, which seems to have sparked the outrage.
Of course, the outrage about Dalbesio being considered plus-size is understandable. It potentially gives girls, especially young ones, a dangerous view on what it means to be overweight in today’s society.
