Alabama Crimson Tide may have the most passionate fans in the world (Just listen to

the Paul Finebaum Show

for a couple of minutes).

The only have one of the most passionate announcers in the world in Eli Gold.

Now, the Tide are trying to bring that together. They are auctioning off a press box experience for the Western Carolina game on November 22. The winner and three guests will be able to watch the game from press level, receive all pre-game press materials, and eat with the media in the Bryant-Denny Stadium Press Room.

The complete package includes:

  • Four (4) reserved seats on Press Row in the Bryant-Denny Stadium Press Box
  • Pre-game press materials
  • Press Box meals
  • Four (4) official Crimson Tide gameday programs
  • Opportunity to meet the Crimson Tide Sports Network Radio Crew: Eli Gold,
  • Tom Roberts, Chris Stewart, Phil Savage and Tyler Watts

Being in a press box is something many people have not experienced and there are plenty of Alabama fans who will be bidding. Thus far, there have been four bids and the highest bid is at $475.

Usually there is a “no cheering in the press box” rule so this probably won’t make the media in Tuscaloosa very happy. However, that rule is often broken and it’s not like there is going to be some groundbreaking story written with the Catamounts in town. That should happen this week when the Tide host the to-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs.
