Minnesota Timberwolves‘ Andrew Wiggins is currently showing the world and James Harden why he was the number one pick.

More from Houston Rockets

We all know James Harden can’t play defense, it’s pretty well-documented I would say. Well, that shouldn’t take away from what Andrew Wiggins did to James Harden in the first quarter game between the Timberwolves and Rockets.

A dunk over the 6-foot 5-inch guard.

That was way to easy. It almost wasn’t even fair, it can’t be OK to be an NBA player and not play defense. It looked as if Harden just kind of let him go, and didn’t even try to contest the shot.

That isn’t even where Wiggins started dominating Harden.

Not only is he dunking on him, he is blocking his shots. This one came about two minutes into the game, as Harden thought he was going in for a simple layup, but instead, got denied.

Harden is still getting shut down, Wiggins and the Timberwolves have kept him to 2-7 from the field and only five points midway through the third quarter. Wiggins, however is 3-4 with seven points and that block.

Andrew Wiggins will no doubt be a star in this league, and you’re already starting to see flashes of that.
