Did you ever play a game of baseball with some friends and get a pitch called a ball when it was clearly a strike?
That’s what happened to Dae-Sung Koo recently, only he decided to act on it. If you don’t remember Koo, he played for the Mets for just a year in 2005, posting a 3.91 ERA before injuring his shoulder and never returning to the bigs.
Well, now he plays in Sydney, Australia and after a pitch was called a ball, giving the batter four balls and a free base, Koo walked up to the plate, dusted off the dirt and just sort of walked away before deciding to speak with the umpire. Here’s a quick look.
As you can see he also threw a ball into the stadium to show his frustration. This is very funny, I mean as long as no one was hurt. Deadspin.com also got this:
"According to MiLB’s Tyler Maun, who sent in the clip, this was Koo’s first ejection in the MLB, MiLB, ABL, or World Baseball Classic."
Nice! A 45-year-old getting his first ever ejection because of a ball that was called strike, and the reaction he got was great, too.
