For all of the clutter, all of the memes, and all of the viral videos, sometimes it can be refreshing to see a simple video with a simple message on the good old internet. That is what Erykah Badu and her daughters have provided with this video.
In the video, Badu and her daughters sing the song ‘Try’ by Colbie Caillat. In an approach that fits the song they are singing, the video appears to have been captured in the form of a video selfie while lounging around as a family.
Watch the video for yourself because it is awesome.
Besides the aspects already discussed, the singing itself is pretty darn impressive. Not all of us can harmonize on that level of quality within our nuclear families, but not all of our mothers are Erykah Badu either.
If you are looking for interesting timing for such a refreshing, awesome video to hit the internet, consider this: we have the opportunity to discuss Erykah Badu and her daughters singing ‘Try’ during the same week that Kim Kardashian’s butt has otherwise taken over the internet in a picture that was taken with the specific goal of taking over the internet.
That presumably was not Badu’s goal in singing with her daughters, but it would sure be great to see this take over the internet instead.
