No. 28-25

28. Josh McCown – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Josh McCown took over for Mike Glennon who had previously taken over for McCown who had previously unseated Glennon when he was signed as a free agent. Basically, the Buccaneers are playing rotating QBs in hopes that one will prove to be “the guy” and lead the team to some wins. Unfortunately, it looks like McCown and Glennon are pretty interchangeable in terms of ability. That’s why I’ve got McCown in the exact same spot that I had Glennon last week.

27. Michael Vick – New York Jets (+3)

Michael Vick played better than I expected against the Steelers last week. Was it because Vick still has something left in the tank or because the “Bad Steelers” showed up on Sunday? I’m not 100% sure, but I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt this week and bump him up three spots from last week.

26. Derek Carr – Oakland Raiders (+1)

I don’t have a lot new to say about Derek Carr this week. I still think he may turn out to be the best QB of this draft class, but I also still think he’s hampered right now by a below average supporting cast. Oakland needs to build around him this offseason.

25. Austin Davis – St. Louis Rams

Austin Davis looked like he might have a shot at earning the long term starting job just a few weeks ago, but things seemed to have stalled a little and each week he looks more and more like a good back up and place holder and not a QB of the future. Davis will keep the Rams in games but I think he’ll find himself holding a clip board again next season.
