Connor McDavid’s broken hand will keep him out for over a month
Luckily, this won’t have much of an impact on his draft status.

Unfortunately, though, the Erie Otters will be without their dynamic superstar for five to six weeks- according to Sports Centre on Twitter, Connor McDavid will be out five to six weeks with a broken metacarpal bone in his right hand.
McDavid broke his hand during a game earlier this week, when he missed another player during a fight and punched the glass.
Prior to the injury, McDavid was on pace to be the highest scorer not only on his team, but in the entire OHL. He managed to sneak an extra two points before leaving the game against the Mississauga Steelheads, bringing his point total for the first month and a half of the 2014-2015 season to 51 points in only 18 games.
The entire NHL has been eyeing Connor McDavid for a while now- even last season, there was talk of him going first overall in Sunrise, Florida this summer. He finished off last season with the Otters with 99 points in 56 games; he was well on track to surpass Sidney Crosby’s points total from his final junior season, when he notched 168 points in 62 games with Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL.
Hopefully, McDavid will make a full recovery, and come back to dominate as seriously as he was prior to the injury.
