Rangers Defenseman Dan Boyle Making Return
The New York Rangers are getting ready for Dan Boyle to skate out once again
The New York Rangers were hoping to improve their power play this off-season; with the loss of Anton Stralman, it seemed only natural to bring on free agent Dan Boyle.

The 38-year-old league veteran didn’t get to help the team right off the bat, though. He’s been out with a broken hand since the season opener. Signed for two years at $9 million, Boyle was expected to be a huge contribution, and instead, he’s been nothing but another name on the injured reserve list.
The team hasn’t confirmed Boyle’s return just yet, but he’s been practicing with the team- a good sign, and fantastic news for the inconsistent New York squad.
Without Boyle, the Rangers have had a 7-6-2 record; and although they’ve been missing more than just him (captain Ryan McDonagh is also out on injury), his return should hopefully boost the team’s record and help them move back into playoff contention before Christmas.
Of course, with Dan Boyle on the mend, it seems like Tomas Kaberle isn’t going to be needed after all- he could be hanging around the Rangers for nothing.
