Sweeps is that time when television networks pull out all the stops, so it’s no surprise that there are reports of a Ray Rice interview circulating.
The Today Show might have an exclusive interview with Ray Rice and wife Janay lined up as part of November sweeps.
Then again, it might not.

TMZ is reporting, citing “NBC sources” that Matt Lauer has gotten an interview with the former Baltimore Ravens running back and his wife, the victim of the most famous knockout since Buster Douglas against Mike Tyson.
But Lauer told a reporter from the entertainment website that no “announcement” had been made of an interview with the Rices.
However, TMZ—citing its “Rice sources” (and it’s hard not to imagine some guy with a microphone standing in knee deep water in a rice paddy)—said the running back won’t make a commitment to do any interviews until the arbitrator makes a ruling in his appeal of his indefinite suspension.
The interview, if it happens, is expected to air sometime between now and Nov. 26. So, hey, thanks for narrowing that down for us.
So at this point here is what we know: The Today Show may interview Ray and Janay Rice (“Ray and Janay on Today!). Or it may not.
The ruling in Rice’s arbitration case is expected within two weeks, according to NJ.com. That would fall within the time frame for an appearance on NBC’s morning show by Nov. 26.
