A recent study shows that Seattle Seahawks and Sounders fans are being sold watered-down beer at CenturyLink Field. What a travesty.

CenturyLink Field is one of the loudest stadiums in American sports, thanks in large part to the Seattle Seahawks’ 12th man.

But could you imagine how loud it would be if the fans weren’t getting watered-down beer?

Apparently, people at CenturyLink Field are wasting their money when they purchase a cold brew, because they getting a lesser product. This comes from a recent study with IEH Labs, who worked with some undercover testers who went to the stadium on two different occassions.

What an absolute travesty for the Seattle Seahawks fans.

Budweiser had the largest discrepency, while Stella Artois was the closest to the real deal.

The difference in advertised alcohol by volume content and the actual alcohol content in the CenturyLink Field beer varied from as much as .2% to .6% less.

Greed, man. People will do anything to make an extra buck. Even if that means selling people crappy, watered-down beer.

This is criminal.

After all, federal law prohibits the sale of alcohol  less than 0.3% below the advertised alcohol by volume content, so the recent test seems to indicate CenturyLink Field is not only screwing over Seattle Seahawks fans, but violating the law while doing it.

Anheuser-Busch has responded to the report and released a statement which you can read here.
