We’re not sure if the name is intentional or not, but the Dallas Mavericks‘ Chandler Parsons posted a funny picture of his Starbucks order — and who the employee thought the order was going to Parsons’s teammate, NBA star Dirk Nowitzki.

Dallas surely knows what Dirk Nowitzki looks like by now, right? Perhaps a Starbucks employee was playing around with a request from Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons, or perhaps the employee really didn’t know the difference, but Parsons posted a pretty funny picture on his Instagram account of his order from the coffee shop:

Also included was the caption: “Finally hit some shots and this happens… #congratson9”

I haven’t been into Starbucks in a while, but I’m assuming they still ask you your name? Maybe Parsons said he was Dirk. Who knows?

Parsons seems to have a pretty good sense of humor, regardless, and he and Dirk sure seem to be on good terms, particularly after the two joined teammate Monta Ellis in the studio for this um, rap song, which was a parody of Run D.M.C. He grew up rooting for Nowitzki, so it’s really doubtful there’s anything malicious here, just seems to be some fun at one of the two’s (minor) expense.
