Welcome to the week 11 edition of the Armchair Quarterback’s Guide to the NFL. For any first time readers this is a weekly feature that gives you a preview and prediction for each game of the coming week’s NFL schedule. Those predictions will be based on everything from previous match ups to how the teams’ strengths and weaknesses line up and may include a little bit of this Armchair Quarterback’s gut instincts too.

Last week was another solid week for the Armchair Quarterback picks, finishing with a 9-4 record on the week. The winners that I missed on were the Browns, Jets, Lions, and 49ers. That brings my overall record on the season to 97-49-1. I prefer to be over the 2-1 ratio for correct games and I’m one more good week away from making that happen. Unfortunately, the Steelers failure to defeat a then 1-8 Jets team cost me my second “Lock of the Week” pick of the season, bringing my overall record on those picks to 8-2. I should have known better than to rely on an up and down team like the Steelers, but when you are limiting yourself to only using each team once for the “Lock” picks you have to get a little creative. I’m confident I’ll rebound this week.

Week 11 features some really good match ups between playoff caliber teams headlined by games like Lions vs. Cardinals, Eagles vs. Packers, and Patriots vs. Colts. So without further ado, let’s get to the games.
