You probably don’t know Chicago Cubs third baseman/left fielder Kris Bryant yet, one of MLB‘s brightest young prospects, but you’ll be able to recognize him on the field in these Wrigley Ivy shoes.
If you’re unfamiliar with Chicago Cubs top prospect Kris Bryant, don’t feel bad, there are plenty of excuses why: he was just drafted in June 2013, as the second-overall pick of the MLB Draft by the Cubs, and hasn’t played a game in the big-leagues yet. But you won’t have too many more excuses, and with his slick Wrigley-themed shoes, you’ll be able to tell exactly who he is on the diamond.

I’m not even a Cubs fan, and those shoes are slick. Maybe not as slick as Bryant’s career so far, but pretty slick.
Bryant would be the Cubs’s Opening Day third baseman, if his agent, Scott Boras, got his way. Boras is likely stirring up crap (as the article notes, this is hardly a Cubs issue and more of an issue with how MLB service time works and affects free agency), but Bryant, who was pretty unanimously most publications Minor-League Player of the Year, is generally considered to be nearly-ready for The Show.
We might not see the ivy spikes on Opening Day, but when we see them, we’ll know they belong to Kris Bryant.
