The  six-win Miami Hurricanes play an undefeated Florida State team, but they’ve actually already won before the weekend even started with the new uniforms that they will be wearing.

The big game between the Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles isn’t until Saturday, but the week has been chock full of trash talk and some fans may be getting restless. Thankfully Phil Hecken, Uni Watch weekend editor, is here for those fans. He posted this tweet earlier today, unveiling a smooth ‘smoke’ uniform for Miami to use this weekend.

The uniforms are technically ‘smoke,’ but I think they look more black. I guess we will have a better look Saturday. They will have orange hats with the orange/green U that appears on all of their helmets.

Of course the uniforms are nice, as most darker ones are, but that doesn’t mean anything once the game starts. We have seen plenty of teams come out with nice uniforms this year and let the game slip. Hopefully, for Miami’s sake, these will give their players some needed confidence against one of the top two teams in the country.

The ‘Canes wore them one time last year.

Watch the Miami Hurricanes take on No. 2 Florida State Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET.
