Quarterback: Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins

No, Robert Griffin III didn’t forget how to play football. It’s hard to sit out for six weeks and play well against a good defensive minded head coach. The Vikings allowed the 4th fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and Robert Griffin III still managed to get 14 fantasy points against them. This week, Robert Griffin III gets the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have struggled defensively on the road so far this season. In every road game so far this season, the Buccaneers defense has allowed at least two touchdowns to the opposing quarterback. With his weapons, his coach, and in this offense, I’ll buy into Robert Griffin III this week.

Running Back: Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Le’Veon Bell owners are growing frustrated with the Pittsburgh Steelers offense, which has limited the fantasy production of Le’Veon Bell over the last weeks. In his last three weeks, he has only scored 30 total fantasy points. I expect that to change this week, as I expect the Steelers will get their ground game going on Monday Night Football. The Titans have allowed the 6th most fantasy points to opposing running backs, and have also allowed double digit touchdowns to those backs. If the Steelers want to win at this time of year at Pittsburgh they must run the football. Games are going to start getting colder, which usually results in teams leaning on the ground game.

Wide Receiver: Cordarrelle Patterson, Minnesota Vikings

I hear the cries of you telling me to stop talking about Cordarrelle Patterson, but I just can’t do it. I see way too much talent every time that I watch and I’ll say that this guy is a super talent. He just has a quarterback playing at a subpar level. The targets have been there, as he’s managed 19 targets in his last two weeks. Patterson plays the Bears this week, and he is going to be expected to explode against them. So far this season, the Bears have been terrible against opposing wide receivers, and I really like what the  Vikings are doing with Cordarrelle Patterson over the last few weeks. In Week 9, their last game, Teddy Bridgewater had Patterson wide open down the field two times. The first time, Patterson lost the ball the sun and the second time Bridgewater missed him. Eventually they will connect on at least one of them and with this matchup, I’d say he has a great shot to do so.

Tight End: Tim Wright, New England Patriots

Some you talk to will tell you that it’s a complete Rob Gronkowski week, but I don’t believe that will be the case. While Gronk will have an amazing game, the Colts will not allow Gronk to beat them. I expect Gronk to get multiple different looks and intense focus from the Indianapolis in the game, which could open up the field for Timothy Wright. The problem with Timothy Wright is that he doesn’t that play that often, meaning that he must capitalize on all the opportunities that he is given. According to Football Outsiders, Tim Wright is currently only playing 21.2% of the total snaps for the Patriots this season. Risky, but I like the matchup and I’ll take a chance on Timothy Wright this week.
