Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones now believes his team is a threat to win the Super Bowl.
Entering the season, few thought the Dallas Cowboys would contend for a Super Bowl this year.

But after a 7-3 start for Dallas, expectations of the Cowboys have changed for many, including team owner Jerry Jones.
Jones admitted to the Dallas Morning News that he now believes the Cowboys have a shot at hoisting the Lombardi trophy this season.
"“We didn’t really think that possibly this year might be the year, but you sure can’t dismiss it at this particular point,” Jones said. “It is great to be 7-3. We would’ve loved to have been 8-2 or better, but we’re not. But we have [Romo] healthy, we have a pretty healthy team on the field.“Having said that, I think we’re going to have some fun here these next six ballgames.”"
It’s hard to blame Jones for having a newfound belief in his team. Dallas’ offense is clicking on all cylinders at this point and the defense has performed better than expected.
Still, some will be skeptical of the Cowboys since they’ve won just one playoff game during Romo’s time as the team’s quarterback.
However, Jones said he believes Dallas has been closer to a Super Bowl in recent years than many believe.
"“That’s the goal here and that’s what we should do,” the Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. “We’ve come a lot closer than we’re given credit for on knocking on the door [of a Super Bowl] with Romo [as quarterback]."
It truly would be incredible if Dallas ultimately wins it all this year. Romo’s legacy would completely change and Jones would quiet all his critics that have long called for him to remove himself from the general manager position.
