Friday was yet another dark day for FSU Twitter. As the fan base gets set to unleash their wrath on the Miami Hurricanes Saturday night, the New York Times dropped a story about Seminoles defensive backs Ronald Darby and P.J. Williams getting a break from the Tallahassee Police Department over a hit-and-run incident.
Now we’ve seen the FSU fans on twitter, more affectionately known as #FSUTwitter, get perturbed by stories they don’t like before and lash out at the national media. However, with this particular story on Friday that was released by the New York Times, they may have taken things a step further, as if that was even possible.
As the story was making its rounds on twitter, it was eventually found that the link, at one point, was flagged as unsafe. This would end up being confirmed by a member of the New York Times staff.
This didn’t even happen with the plethora of stories that were released about Jameis Winston, and I wasn’t even aware that a New York Times piece could get flagged like that.
But hey, you learn something new every day.
